TKF's orange cable drums have always been characteristic of the company ever since it was founded in 1930. Now that the wooden drums have been replaced with plastic drums from Axjo, they are shining more brightly than ever before. 

TKF is a market-orientated company that develops high quality cable solutions and delivers them to customers within sectors such as broadband, energy, marine and offshore, installation and industry. The orange drums are a part of the very soul of the company, and the ability of our plastic to maintain its colour and shape was one of the many reasons why TKF decided to replace all wooden drums from 1.000 mm. with plastic drums from Axjo.

"Cable drums in plastic are more robust and much lighter than wooden drums. Now we avoid the problems we had previously with water absorption, nails, splinters and scraping. The plastic drums are also more efficient to use thanks to fewer diameter variations. It means a great deal to us that they are environmentally-friendly and completely recyclable, so that they can be reborn in the form of new drums. "

The process of exchanging the wooden drums for the new generation in plastic began to be phased in during 2010 and is still continuing. TKF's drums are shining just as brightly as before, but the big difference now is noticeable when you get closer to them, because now they are more even, smoother and lighter!
